Church of God sues Sony Pictures for copyright Infringement
Typically, the biggest threat to the summer movie is a bad review. This year, however, it seems to be intellectual property.
In April, S. Victor Whitmill filed a lawsuit to block Warner Bros.’ May 26th release of the Hangover 2, which featured, without authorization, a tattoo that Whitmill had designed for and applied to boxer Mike Tyson’s face. Last week, the Church of God filed a lawsuit against Sony Worldwide Acquisitions claiming the comedy Salvation Boulevard reproduces, in mirror image, the Church of God’s cross mark. The Westboro Baptists Church has announced plans to picket the funeral of Jackass star Ryan Dunn.
The Westboro Baptist Church has gained infamy for picketing the funerals of military families, trade shows and conventions with offensive signs such as “Thank God for Dead Soldiers” “God Hates Nerds” & “God Hates America” etc… The church has very abscure beliefs when it comes to a lot of modern cultural topics.

Duggar Family Partners with Bible Translators to help Kids Learn the Bible
The Duggar family, featured on TLC’s hit reality TV show 19 Kids and Counting, has started a new partnership with the fastest growing Bible translation organization in the world. The Seed Company, founded by Wycliffe Bible Translators, announced Wednesday the partnership with the family, in which they will work together to teach families and children the story of the Bible with the goal of spreading God’s word around the world. El Shaddai’ demo Impressions
If you’re at all interested in games with unconventional art direction, just go download the demo from Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network. “El Shaddai” is the brainchild of Takeyasu Sawaki, who worked on arty PlayStation 2 and Wii critical darling “Okami.” As you’d expect, it’s a treat to look at.
Storywise, “El Shaddai” is based on the Book of Enoch, an ancient religious text found within the Dead Sea scrolls. Its hero, Enoch, is trying to save the world from a great calamity brought about by seven fallen angels. Read the rest of this entry
