Church of God sues Sony Pictures for copyright Infringement

Typically, the biggest threat to the summer movie is a bad review. This year, however, it seems to be intellectual property.

In April, S. Victor Whitmill filed a lawsuit to block Warner Bros.’ May 26th release of the Hangover 2, which featured, without authorization, a tattoo that Whitmill had designed for and applied to boxer Mike Tyson’s face. Last week, the Church of God filed a lawsuit against Sony Worldwide Acquisitions claiming the comedy Salvation Boulevard  reproduces, in mirror image, the Church of God’s cross mark. Nintendo Drops 3DS price to 169.99

Nintendo just announced that the Nintendo 3DS will drop to $169.99, starting on August 12. That’s 80 bucks cheaper than the previous MSRP of $249.99, and one helluva indication of how well the system is doing. 800,000 people have picked up a system but that’s nowhere near what they were hoping for.

“For anyone who was on the fence about buying a Nintendo 3DS, this is a huge motivation to buy now,” said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime in a press release. “We are giving shoppers every incentive to pick up a Nintendo 3DS, from an amazing new price to a rapid-fire succession of great games.” Read the rest of this entry
